Personal data we use

When you browse, order or contact us, the data we may use includes your name, email address, telephone number if you provide one, delivery and billing address, order number, goods ordered, order value and status, delivery information, cancellation or return information, and the contents of messages you send us.

Our online shop is operated using Shopify. We receive order and customer information through the Shopify shop and checkout/order process to the extent needed to run the shop and handle your order. We do not ask you to send us medical or health information; please do not include such information in messages to us.

Why we use your data and our lawful bases

• To perform a contract or take steps at your request before a contract: to process and manage an order, arrange fulfilment and delivery, communicate about the order, and handle cancellations, returns, refunds and customer-service queries.
• To comply with legal obligations: to keep records, deal with legal and regulatory requirements, and respond where the law requires us to do so.
• For our legitimate interests: to protect the shop and our customers against fraud or misuse, maintain security, manage and resolve queries or disputes, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We balance these interests against your rights and interests.

Who we share data with

We share only the data needed for the relevant purpose. Recipients or categories of recipients may include:

• Shopify, which provides the online shop and supports the order process;
• our UK fulfilment partner, where needed to fulfil and deliver your particular order;
• delivery and logistics providers, where needed to deliver an order;
• professional advisers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other parties, where necessary for legal obligations, legal claims, fraud prevention or the protection of rights and safety.

For fulfilment and delivery, the information disclosed may include the recipient's name, delivery address, contact details where needed for delivery, the goods ordered and relevant order or delivery instructions. Tara Spa Ltd remains your seller and contact point.

International processing

Our fulfilment partner is based in the UK. Shopify may process personal data outside the UK. Shopify's own privacy policy explains the safeguards it uses when it does.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of the order or query, legal and accounting obligations, limitation periods, security and any need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We then delete or anonymise it where appropriate.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask for access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. To make a request, contact us using the details above.

Cookies and tracking

Shopify uses cookies to run the shop, basket and checkout, and to give us basic shop statistics. We have not added any advertising tracking of our own. Shopify may also use shop data for its own services, including Shopify Network Intelligence, as explained in Shopify's privacy policy. If we add advertising tracking, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing. We may update this notice when our data practices or legal requirements change.
